Pauline Simons Freeman, 81, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Tommy Simons and Lottie Clark Simons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Freeman who died February 9, 2007; two brothers, Clint and wife Coye Sue, Dent and wife Bernice; sister, Maxine Arvey and sister-in-law, Pat Simons. Pauline was a dedicated member of Liberty Baptist Church, serving as Sunday school teacher, choir member for many years and treasurer for 28 years. She loved flowers, gardening and quilting. She will be remembered as a kind and compassionate lady, who loved her extended family and friends and was always putting others before herself.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Freeman of Franklin; two brothers, Earl Simons and Bob Simons both of Franklin; two sisters, Jean Kusterer and husband Jack and Ruth Burnette and husband Ted both of Franklin ; sister-in-law Grace Freeman of Franklin; brother-in-law, Dennis Arvey of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at Liberty Baptist Church. Rev. Rick Potts and Rev. Andy Cloer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 4, at Macon Funeral Home.

Deacons of Liberty Baptist Church will serve as Pallbearers. Dorsey Elmore will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.

Memorial donations can be made to the Angel Hospice, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
