Edna Juanitta  Bowers (Bolick)
Edna Juanitta Bolick Bowers, 86, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Carl Allen Bolick and Eva Rogers Bolick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Warren Bowers; son, James Bowers; son-in-law, Jackie West; brother, Loyd Bolick; two sisters, Willa Mae Bolick and Birdell Bolick and great grandchildren, Micah and McKenna McHan. Edna was a loving mom. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and working in flowers. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Dennis Bowers and wife Frankie of Franklin, Carolyn West of Franklin and Wayne Bowers and wife Melissa of Fletcher, NC; sister, Annalee Messegge of Albuquerque, NM; five brothers, Odell Bolick, Ellard Bolick and Bob Bolick all of Franklin, Willard Bolick of Wooster, OH and Marvin Bolick of Sylva, NC; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19th at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Greg Rogers and Rev. David Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Calab Bowers, Tony Ashe, Brian Holland, Jerry West, Duane McHan, Christopher, Matthew and Joshua Holland and James Bowers. Granddaughters, Emily Bowers, Amy Ashe, Tammy Holland, Margaret West, Jamie McHan and Emma Bowers will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
