Shirley Mae Drinnon, 65, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Reeves and Willa Mae Childers Reeves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Craig Drinnon and a grandson, William Madison Drinnon. She was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. Shirley worked for the Macon County Board of Education as a child nutritionist. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and being outdoors. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bill Drinnon; two sons, Rev. Randy Drinnon and wife Arlene and Tony Drinnon and wife Tammy of Franklin; sister, Joyce Queen of Lexington, NC; brother, Bennie Reeves of Franklin; eight grandchildren, Lynzy Drinnon, Matthew Drinnon, Dalton Drinnon, Kaitlyn Drinnon, Adam Armstrong, Andrew Armstrong, Amanda Davis, Anna Clark; two great grandchildren, Kyla Smith and Rylan Armstrong and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Burningtown Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves, Rev. Randy Drinnon and Tony Drinnon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Drinnon, Derek Conley, Steve Rowland, Andrew Armstrong, Adam Armstrong, Harold Baker and Matthew Drinnon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynzy, Kaitlyn, Amanda, Anna, Whitley, Kyla, Kaitlyn, Rylan and the entire church family.
