Vera  Harper (Glover)
Vera Emma Glover Harper, 94, of Franklin, NC and formerly of Greensboro, Al., died Sat. March 29, 2014.

Mrs. Harper was a native of Eutaw, Al, and the daughter of the late Joseph E. Glover and Vera Singley Glover. She was a homemaker; loved spending time with her family and sharing family values with them. She loved to fish, working in her flowers, and had a strong farming history. Mrs. Harper was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Perry County, Al. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Charles Walter Harper; son, Charles Edgar Harper; and six brothers and sisters.

Vera is survived by her children, Jackie Harper Pilkerton of Franklin, NC, Martha Harper Rogers of Asheville, NC and Walter Glover Harper of Mobile, Al; twelve grandchildren, Karen Hamm, Kendall Adams, Dawn Stacy, Daphne Steider, Bert Hamm, Darryl Harper, Valerie McClendon, Rodney Harper, Kim Gottschall, Charles Pilkerton II , Tommy Pilkerton, and Chad Pilkerton. Several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 2 pm in the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Greensboro, Al. The Rev. Arthur Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 1 till 2, one hour prior to the service at the church.
