Obituary for Harvey Franklin Unger

Harvey Franklin Unger, 89, of Franklin, formerly of Stonewall Haven in Martinsburg, W. VA., entered into rest Tuesday, August 1, 2006.

A native of Williamsport, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lindsey Miller Unger and Irma LeMaster Unger. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Whitacre Unger, who died in September 2000; three brothers, Leroy Evans, Mason Lester and Jerry Miller Unger. Mr. Unger was a Chemical Engineer in the Aerospace Industry. He received a BS Degree in chemical engineering from Indiana Technical College; was an active member of Kiwanis; member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite; a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Martinsburg, W. Va. and associate member of First United Methodist Church in Franklin, NC.

Surviving are four children, Harvana Rosbrugh and husband, Harvey of San Jose, CA, Kay Unger of Missoula, Montana, Jan Unger and wife, Barbara of Franklin, and Bigie Unger and husband, Bruce Flory of Seattle, Washington;one brother, Earl Unger and one sister, Anita Dickerson; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5 in the Chapel of Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Edward Groves will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 4 at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, W. Va..
